The parts of ourselves we keep locked away are the very parts that have the power to free us, and those around us.
We don’t find deeper meaning and appreciation for life in spite of adversity – we find them because of adversity.
MY STORY
I’m a serial survivor.
By age 23, I’d survived the death of my dad, an emotionally abusive mom, switching schools 15 times, a chronic illness and a debilitating addiction.
Somehow, I kept bouncing back.
I hustled hard and landed an internship with Interscope Records (Lady Gaga, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish) and worked my way up to A&R, before becoming a music coordinator at The Tonight Show, then launching an artist development & talent management company called 5AM Collective, where I helped advance the careers of emerging artists.
After 12+ years of working in the entertainment industry and seeing first-hand just how challenging it is for both artists and executives alike, I decided to pivot and embark on a path to make a difference in the space. I became a substance use disorder certified counselor and am currently completing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, Santa Barbara.
